The Welcome Days at the École Universitaire de Recherche en Économie et Management took place on January 24 and 25, offering international students an immersion into their new environment.
On 24 and 25 January, the École Universitaire de Recherche en Économie et Management organised its winter edition of "Welcome Days", an event dedicated to welcoming international students. Coming from 12 different countries, they were able to discover their new university environment while sharing convivial moments.
The first day was focused on integration and discovering the university. The students attended an informational meeting about the semester's schedule, followed by a guided campus tour to familiarize themselves with the facilities and services available to them. To encourage interaction and integration, a breakfast was organized, featuring traditional French Epiphany treats, such as "galette des rois" and brioche.
The next day was all about exploration and challenges with a mountain outing. The students first put on snowshoes for a hike in the snow before taking part in a unique activity: the "Fiery Challenge." Their mission? To find hidden markers in nature, retrieve codes to open a lock, and obtain the necessary materials to start a fire.
This event brought together a wonderful mix of students from Armenia, Italy, Ukraine, Greece, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Serbia, and Hungary. Two days filled with exchange, discovery, and sharing !
