Minor
A Minor is a course offered by the École Universitaire de Recherche d'Économie et de Management (EUR ELMI) to complement or enrich your Master's degree (or PhD), which constitutes your "major". Each semester, you can choose one or more Minors from among those offered by ELMI.
Our minors: how? for whom?

-
- Compulsory minor: In some Master's courses or "majors", choosing a minor is compulsory for one or more semesters (e.g.: Expertise and Analysis of Economic Data or Industrial Development courses).
- Optional minor : In other courses, choosing a minor is an option among several possible choices (e.g. Digital Strategy course).
- Complementary minor: Certain minors can be added to the main course to enrich your training (e.g.: Banking Management and International Finance course).
If you have any questions, please contact your course coordinator to find out how your Master's degree fits in with these minors, and how they may be of interest to your field.
- Possible benefits for you
- Choosing one or more Minors can have a number of advantages:
- Acquisition of specific skills: Some Minors offer tools and methods that will be useful for your internship, work-study program or Master's thesis (e.g.: Introduction to R, Python, EXCEL + VBA).
- Skills enhancement: These enable you to fill in any gaps, for example in economics, management or quantitative techniques, to maximize your chances of success in the Master's program.
- Introduction to research: Certain Minors are designed to train you in the methods and tools of economic and management research, opening the way to a PhD if that is your goal.
In all cases, validation of a Minor grants you ECTS credits and a certificate of achievement, an asset for your CV.
- Accessibility
-
- Hybrid mode : To meet the needs of work-study and distance-learning students, certain Minors (e.g. EXCEL + VBA, Applied Statistics, Introduction to R) are offered in hybrid mode. Courses, sessions and resources are accessible online, enabling independent learning and remote validation.
- Synchronous mode with recording: Minors organized as weekly synchronous face-to-face courses generally include recorded sessions, to enable asynchronous follow-up. Please contact the teachers concerned for further information.
Please note: Each Minor has a limited capacity. Please register early.
- How do I register?
