What is it? 

This is a university certificate awarded in addition to a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree. It recognizes and promotes the commitment of students and doctoral candidates through internationally oriented experiences completed during their academic studies. 
 

How does the certificate work? 

The certificate is organized into three levels:

• Silver
• Gold
• Platinum

The level obtained depends on:

• the level of study (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate)
• and on the types of international activities completed.

Bachelor	STANDARD: Any 2 activities  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Badge only OR Ulysseus Open Badge	STANDARD: 1 short mobility + 2 activities OR 3 activities  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Badge or Ulysseus Open Badge + 1 hybrid mobility	STANDARD: 1 long physical mobility + 1 activity  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Ulysseus Open Badge + 1 long mobility or 2 hybrid mobilities
Master	Not offered	STANDARD: 1 virtual mobility + 1 internationalisation activity  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Badge only OR Ulysseus Open Badge	STANDARD: 1 long physical mobility + 1 internationalisation activity  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Badge or Open Badge + short/hybrid mobility
Doctorate	Not offered	STANDARD: 1 virtual mobility + 1 internationalisation activity  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Badge only OR Ulysseus Open Badge	STANDARD: 1 physical mobility + 2 virtual mobilities  ULYSSEUS BOOST: Badge or Open Badge + short mobility

Which international experiences can be taken into account? 

International Mobilities: 
• Physical: Stay abroad of: 

• Short duration (5 to 30 days)  
• Long duration (2 to 12 months). 

• Hybrid: Combination of online activities and physical presence abroad (5–30 days), either in a group (BIP) or individually.

• Virtual: Distance-learning activities offered by: 

• A partner university (for example within the Ulysseus network)   
• An external platform/organization. 

Activities on Campus: 
• Webinars :  

• Attend a webinar within a university network. 
• Organize a webinar within a university network. 

• Meeters Workshops: :  

• Participate in a workshop. 
• Organize a workshop.  

• International Ambassadors Programme 
• COIL / Virtual Exchange 
• Community Service Projects
• International Tutoring
• UlySA Students
• Other internationalisation activities on campus  
 
Support Scheme:  

• Student Passport 

Please note: the greater and more diverse international engagement, the more valuable the certificate becomes.
